It may seem at times that we are being difficult, but we cannot give out any medical
information to anyone other than the person directly concerned. Please do not be
offended if you ask to get your husband or wife’s test results, and get told that
they themselves will have to contact us, just remember how you might feel if someone
found out something about you, that you would rather they didn’t know.
We are not
able to send results of tests by fax or email to patients.
Patients who move outside the area, and who register with another NHS GP will automatically be deducted by the system. This commonly happens for example when students start at a university. Patients will only be removed by the practice under extreme circumstances such as:
The patient will be then be removed instantly and a letter sent to them explaining the reasons. Should a patient fail to attend three consecutive appointments they will receive a letter explaining that if they fail to attend once more they will be removed.
Anyone who is resident in the UK, but is temporarily in this area and unwell can register with us for temporary medical services. To do this you will need to fill in a form (known as a T.R. form). Visitors to the area from abroad may be allowed to be seen under the NHS, please contact the surgery for details.
If you are currently registered with us and are moving outside of our catchment area we are sorry we will have to ask you to register with a doctor closer to home or with a doctor who covers your area. Unfortunately this applies to those of you who only just cross over our boundaries.
